The Naval Elite Search Troops (abbreviated as N.E.S.T. and known colloquially as the Bird's Nest) is a naval paramilitary group.

HistoryEdit

The N.E.S.T. was established a couple of decades after the Marines were formed. Several ex-Marines and members of unrelated naval militias were displeased with the Marines' priorities, as the Marines seemed more concerned with keeping pirate groups from expanding to and taking over the Western Ocean than outright eliminating pirate groups as a whole, effectively being nothing more than a border patrol group. These people banded together into a paramilitary group with the intention to hunt down and eliminate any pirate groups they come across as they search throughout the Eastern Ocean. As such, they are much more violent and harsh than the Marines.

ActivitiesEdit

The N.E.S.T. are, at their core, a police force, so their activities are centered around attacking pirate groups known for committing crimes, regardless of whether or not the pirates are participating in anything illegal at the time of attack. If they succeed in their attack, they will plunder all of the goods of the pirates they defeated to keep for themselves and jail the surviving pirates. They possess a few dozen large ships and have roughly 450 members.

ApparelEdit

The N.E.S.T. emblem depicts a tribal stylization of a bird with one wing extended. Regular troops wear pastel purple button-up shirts with the N.E.S.T. emblem embroided on the left collar; this uniform is either short-sleeved or long-sleeved based on the season. First mates, quartermasters, captains, and other 'notable troops' wear a white variant of this uniform with the N.E.S.T. emblem mirrored and embroided on the right collar.
